Weaving Bugs

In LZ3 this term we wove butterflies and bees.
It was very hard because we had to remember when to go over and under and also holding the strips of paper in place while weaving.

We helped each other with the weaving. We enjoyed putting the feelers and the eyes on the bugs. They look amazing.

Mini Beasts

This term we learnt a lot of things about bugs and beast.
We learnt about the

• life cycle of the butterfly
• Queen Ants and worker ants 
• Queen bee and worker bees
• spider
• moth
• worms 
• slugs and snail

We had all lot of fun this term.

SPCA Visitors

Yesterday we had a visitor from SPCA who told us how to look after our pets at home.
She told us that our pets need shelter, water, pet food and Lots of LOVE!!!
She also brought two rats in a cage. We were allowed to pat them. They were very soft and fluffy.

Kelly Sports

Today after lunch we went to Kelly Sports.

We had a lot of fun playing rugby, fishing games with tennis balls and 10 pin balling.

LZ3 Baking Gingerbread Man

This week LZ3 read "The Gingerbread Man. We decided to bake some gingerbread boys and girls.

Here is a story.

The Gingerbread Girl

On Monday we made gingerbread girls and boys. Mrs Lal stirred the dough and then she made it into a ball shape. Next we put the dough in the fridge. After morning tea we rolled the dough and cut the shapes out. Then we put it in the oven to bake. Lastly we decorated our gingerbread girls and boys with icing. I used the pink icing and some chocolate buttons. We ate it and it tasted delicious.
