Simple Machines: Screws

Today LZ3 looked at a simple machine called screw. First Mrs Lal showed us a bag with lots of screws, a screwdriver and a cork opener. Next we read a book about screws. We learnt that screws hold things together. Finally we looked around the class for things with screws. We also took pictures of them. We really enjoyed learning about screws in our class.

Shapes

We are learning about shapes in LZ3. We use shapes everyday in different ways and different places. Look around and you will find them everywhere.
We are learning to use shapes to make houses, rockets,trains and many other things

Welcome Back LZ3 

Weaving Bugs

In LZ3 this term we wove butterflies and bees.
It was very hard because we had to remember when to go over and under and also holding the strips of paper in place while weaving.

We helped each other with the weaving. We enjoyed putting the feelers and the eyes on the bugs. They look amazing.
